Profdoc Medical Office Load tests, June 2009

Tested with 3500 simultaneous users logged in and working on a single, standard configuration, Profdoc Medical Office has a response time of 0.5 seconds*.

In June, Profdoc Medical Office (PMO) was put through its paces at Hewlett-Packard European Performance Centre in Böbblingen, Germany. During the week several different scenario based benchmark tests were run, e.g. Doctors consultation, Nurse consultation, and appointment bookings.

The benchmarks ran with varying number of virtual users logged on to PMO, with a maximum of 3500 simultaneous users and for varying length of time.

A benchmark scenario, in which 50 users per second logged on to PMO, was also run, in order to simulate a "Monday morning bottleneck" situation, when many users might log onto PMO in a short period of time.

The results of the tests are very positive for PMO, in that neither the PMO server, nor the PMO Clients, showed any performance impeding effects at all. These results make it evident that the PMO system architecture places the majority of the systems performance load where it should be, on the database server.
