IT-environments at installation sites often differ vastly. You therefore need a broad and deep technical understanding as well as a very good ability to work closely with users, technicians and colleagues in this position
We are looking for candidates that have good technical knowledge and experience regarding managing and maintaining computer networks.
You must have decent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (all), SQL Server and LAN security, with specific reference to routers and firewalls.
You must be able to diagnose faults fast and repair critical data quickly.
Recommended qualification:
- MCSE/MCITP or studying towards a MCSE/MCITP
- Completed and qualified as an A+ certified technician.
- Completed and qualified an N+ or similar network qualification training.
You must be comfortable with talking in front of small and large audiences.
IT- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of the Windows family of server suites and operating systems
- TCP/IP Networking in Windows environment.
- SQL database administration
- Working knowledge of web services administration
- At least 12 months experience of desktop and network maintenance in a Windows Domain/Workgroup environment.
- It would be beneficial if this experience spans a variety of network configurations including Active Directory Domains and Workgroups, VPN connections, Terminal Services, and topologies such as peer-to-peer, ring/star networks, etc. This experience would include server administration, backup routines, updates, configuration of SQL components (knowledge of supporting all the different versions of SQL)
- A sound understanding of software application runtime environments, i.e. Knowledge of dll’s, environment variables, application logs, etc. is needed. Knowledge of COM/DCOM processes is beneficial.
- Experience configuring and maintaining a variety of different types of routers (Netgear, Billion, Marconi, Lynksis, 3Com, Airlink, DLink, etc) and supporting of such infrastructure. This includes configuration of port forwarding, dynamic dns accounts, DHCP, NAT, DMZ, etc is beneficial.
Technical Communication Skills:
- Functional specification documentation (UML)
- System error reporting
- Technical workshop facilitation

Preferred Experience:
It’s a plus if you;
- have documented qualifications and/or experience of similar work.
- have worked within the healthcare industry
- are Microsoft Office competent
- have leadership experience
As this position will entail technical support to our users, so you must genuinely enjoy helping users solve their technical problems, you are a good communicator and have excellent standards in English.
The position will involve travelling and you must hold a valid driver’s license.
