Dr John Biggs.
“I was one of the people who suggested that we go for an electronic system. We looked at a few other systems and decided on Profdoc."
“It was becoming too inefficient keeping track of all our patients with all that paper. Profdoc Medical Office makes the files available anywhere. We’ve been able to schedule through the use of the built-in planner, and manage our time and resources a lot better and even issue and track patient recalls.
“Some patients do not consult one specific doctor in our practice, so each of us can now see more clearly how the patient has been managed and be able to actually read the records instead of trying to decipher someone’s scribble. I think our patient care has improved because of that,”
"We have quite a close relationship with the hospital that this practice started about five - four years ago - and it’s a 40 bed, small hospital and we do quite a lot of our case management through Profdoc. The case managers are able to see a lot easier what’s happening with patients and motivate for them to stay on longer in hospital, or change their level or care or whatever. We also use the hospital module in Profdoc allocating resources to theatre. that definitely helps us.
"We have found that the back-up support is very good and are pleased with the attitude of company staff.”
